Jenni Kayne and Staub Just Made West Coast–Meets–French Countryside Cookware

Designer, tastemaker, and all-around creative curator Jenni Kayne has dabbled in everything from apparel to home decor to cleaning supplies. No matter what product she launches (even a voluminous bottle of dish soap), it’s always imbued with her California-cool, minimalist vibe. Her signature style is marked by calming neutrals, modern silhouettes, and clean lines—and the same goes for her latest collaboration with classic French cookware brand Staub (which also happens to be one of our favorite Dutch oven makers) that dropped earlier this week.
While Kayne has made just two small tweaks to the gratin and cocotte (5.5- and 7-quart), together they make quite the impact. A brand-new colorway, white truffle, looks as if it can blend in with any kitchen, reminding us of her go-to backdrop paint, Benjamin Moore’s Pure White, a favorite for the same reason. Set them as a showpiece on your stove or style on open shelves. But to really drive home the Kayne-inspired aesthetic, why not nestle the cocotte in front of one of her unfinished maple cutting boards or situate the gratin next to a stack of stoneware plates and bowls?
Both pieces are elevated with a brass knob (who says this metal trend is dead?), so if golden details can be spotted throughout your cooking space (English-inspired plumbing fixtures, matching silverware, a William and Mary trivet, or cabinet pulls), this is a limited-edition combo worth getting your hands on. Either way, we bet it’ll make any presentation of stew or creamy potatoes during fall and holiday gatherings that much more special.
